Satellite Racing Tackles the Virtual Endurance Championship
Updated: Oct 10, 2021
Satellite Racing will once again take on the Virtual Endurance Championship (VEC), the premiere endurance series in rFactor 2! Satellite will field four entries across the top two divisions over the six race calendar, beginning with the 6 Hours of Monza on October 9th, 2021.

The four cars are split between the DPi and GTE classes and will run the Cadillac DPi and Corvette C7.R in the series, which returns for its fourteenth season of operation. With perennial contenders such as Burst Esport, Black Hawk Racing, and 1aco competing again, as well as newcomers Red Bull Racing Esports, the competition will be fierce from the start of the season, and goals have been set by the Satellite Racing rF2 contingent of drivers.

"Our expectations for this season are high because we have great line-up in the #64 car," said Jimi Nisula, driver of the #64 Moradness eStars Corvette C7.R in Division 1 alongside Henri Sinik and Pauli Ahonen. "Hopefully we have learned from the last few seasons and can avoid certain mistakes in the races. Our aim is to stand on the podium at the end of the season."
Nello Pastorino, who is sharing the Division 2 Cadillac DPi with Ryan Nash said, "We're aiming for a race win at Monza in order to get back to Division 1, where we feel we belong. If we manage to do that, the next goal would be to fight for an overall top 3 finish in the standings and get on the podium as often as possible throughout the season."

Round 1, the 6 Hours of Monza, gets the green flag at 13:00 CET on Saturday October 9, 2021. Be sure to follow Satellite Racing throughout the Virtual Endurance Championship season by watching the race broadcasts and by reading our race recaps!
